About The Position

We are seeking to hire a Clinical Services Manager. The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Intensive Treatment Services and Counseling department, ensuring high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and effective team performance. This role provides clinical supervision, supports staff development, monitors service delivery outcomes, and collaborates with leadership to enhance program effectiveness. The Clinical Manager ensures that services are client-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational mission and standards.

Requirements

  • An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • An example of an acceptable qualification is: Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work or other closely related field, and three to five years of experience working with persons with severe and persistent mental health disabilities, including provision of clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Applicant must successfully pass required criminal background check and drug test.
  • Ability to document personal identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act [I-9] requirements.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervisor designation or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation
  • Current State motor vehicle operator’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to ITS staff and students including discussion of client concerns, providing constructive feedback, offering alternative strategies to work with clients, and processing staff concerns.
  • Delegate and coordinate work.
  • Monitor production and results, and ensure work complies with Agency policy, standards and performance expectations.
  • Oversee daily operations of counseling services, including scheduling, caseload distribution, and service coverage and the daily operations of the Day Treatment program and other groups offered by Intensive Treatment Services.
  • Provide oversight of the assigned Program Administrators (Expressive Arts, CET, and SUD) in the development, delivery, and outcome of services.
  • Monitor productivity, service utilization, and clinical outcomes for all programs under the umbrella of Intensive Treatment Services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to licensed and non-licensed providers in accordance with state and ethical guidelines.
  • Serve as the liaison with the Residential Treatment team to assist with coordination of care with shared clients.
  • Maintain authority to approve scheduling and overtime within budgetary constraints, and recommend routine personnel actions such as leave requests, and verbal and written reprimands.
  • Refer disciplinary actions to the Director of Administration for review and guidance before proceeding.
  • Participate in hiring process and make recommendations for selection of job applicants.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.
  • Resolve minor complaints and work issues submitted by subordinate staff and resolve difficult issues in conjunction with the Director of Administration.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and case consultation sessions.
  • Provide direct services, including group facilitation and individual counseling when clinically indicated.
  • Attend ITS groups to observe staff interaction and group facilitation skills.
  • Model effective strategies to work with the group participants.
  • Document billed services through the completion of Credible Wireless progress notes.
  • Manage crises within the program through responding to emergency codes, de-escalation of clients, suicide assessments, and arrangement of appointments with psychiatric providers.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractual counseling services provided by NEOMED affiliated providers.
  • Participate in internal and external outreach, education, and partnership-building efforts.
  • Address client concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction and ethical care.
  • Serve on various internal and external committees as assigned.
  • Serve as internship/field supervisor for students within discipline when assigned.
  • Complete requirements of university/college including orientation sessions, teaching learning contracts, and student evaluations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work assigned schedule and manage schedule in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Exhibit regular and predictable attendance and work outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
