About The Position

Overview We are seeking a Clinical RN Supervisor , sometimes referred to as our Clinical Nurse Supervisor or Clinical House Supervisor. The Clinical RN Supervisor will ensur e smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. T he Clinical RN Supervisor i s the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption. Previous Emergency Room experience, preferred.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred.
  • In Paramedic Base Station ED, MICN, within 12 months of hire.
  • EDAP Certified Facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 & 2 within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 4 hours of CEU in Pediatric Training Classes per year ENPC preferred.
  • Non-OB facilities: Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Emergency Room experience, preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certificate within 12 months of hire and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 2 years of hire, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assign nursing staff based on patient acuity, skill level, and staffing ratios, adjusting schedules for safe coverage
  • Oversee patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, to maintain efficiency
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and real-time clinical support to nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, The Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations
  • Facilitate communication between the Med-Surg team, physicians, and ancillary departments
  • Respond to patient emergencies, investigate incidents, and implement quality improvement measures
  • Conduct safety rounds and enforces infection control and medication administration protocols
