About The Position

The SUD Clinical Supervisor is a member of the department's interdisciplinary team. Responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of an out-patient substance use disorder treatment program, representing the program on a variety of teams and with outside partners, providing prevention and intervention services, ensuring compliance, and facilitating services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and two years of supervisory experience or Associate's degree with five years of supervisory experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Substance use disorder program supervision experience meeting all criteria as an approved supervisor per WAC 246-809-110.
  • WA State Substance Use Disorder Professional certification.
  • Valid driver's license and be insurable under the Tribes Insurance policy.
  • Must have current CPR Certification and TB test.
  • Authorize and complete a background check prior to employment.
  • Knowledge of: Possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Familiarity with the ASAM criteria, generally accepted substance use disorder assessment, intervention, treatment, and recovery process for adolescents and adults, supervision of clinical staff, physical and behavioral health issues, intervention strategies, and pertinent codes, policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Skill in: Planning and managing projects.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records/case management.
  • Utilizing group presentation skills.
  • Ability to: Work with a diversity of individuals and groups and work with a variety of data.
  • Problem solves with data, which frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees assigned substance use disorder professionals for the purpose of meeting program requirements for staffing, training, documentation, and distribution of resources.
  • Review, audit and approve all clinical documentations (treatment plans, treatment progress and client coordination of care plan) of SUD services provided.
  • Oversees data and evaluation for the purpose of meeting program requirements.
  • Facilitates and coordinates SUDP's professional development, as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison between a variety of individuals and groups for the purpose of facilitating support services, continuity of care, and communication between participants.
  • Monitors billable service and meets with clinical staff for the purpose of meeting programs performance standards and reviewing service data.
  • Working under limited supervision following standardized practices and methods and tracking budget expenditures.
  • Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions.
  • Develop a cohesive holistic approach to program services with all tribal services.
  • Frequently updates policies and procedures to ensure program compliance with all Washington State and Tribal laws.
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all program data and operate in accordance with applicable regulations of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Knowledge of office administrative operations, including personnel management and compliance.
