About The Position

Forestdale’s Strong Mothers Program helps mothers plan for a better future by making wise choices in parenting and sexual health.  A sample of core services includes: parenting skills training to foster nurturing and secure attachment; counseling to help women find stable living environments (88% of our young women experience domestic violence); doula matching to help women with prenatal, labor, and post-natal support; and access to material resources for food and clothing. The program’s Clinical Supervisor enhances these behavioral health services by leading the provision of interventions to program participants who exhibit a history of trauma. S/he works with our current Strong Mothers staff to enhance our group education sessions curricula with more information on domestic violence, anger management, and trauma. The person in this role will use a participant-centered, trauma-informed approach to delivering care. S/he will also ensure agency standards of practice are upheld via clinical practice, crisis management, documentation/record-keeping, staff education, and government mandates.

Requirements

  • LCSW, PhD, PsyD licensure
  • 3+ years of work experience in social services
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to engage populations with a history of trauma
  • Knowledge of or experience in working with families affected by domestic violence
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Administratively lead, manage and coordinate behavioral health service components for participants in the program
  • Ensure deliverables and outcomes are met for all Clinical Grants.
  • Provide clinical assessment scoring and interpretation of pre-/post-assessments.
  • Develop and revise curricula for psychotherapeutic DV/AM expansion workshop series.
  • Clinically and administratively supervise clinical staff, contracted clinicians, and interns for the Strong Mothers Program.
  • Facilitate psychotherapeutic workshop series on family violence and trauma.
  • Provide support in assessments, treatment planning, and advocacy for participants served through the Strong Mothers program.
  • Complete all documentation required for record keeping and family court.
  • Facilitate clinical case conference meetings for the program 2 times per month.
  • Assist in managing behavioral health crises for the program participants.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary program team meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
