About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Cloud and Security Administrator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cloud information administration, security protocols and training programs as well as assisting the Director of Information Systems in planning, strategizing and implementing the Agency’s technological initiatives. This role ensures that the company’s information assets and technologies are adequately protected against internal and external threats. The Cloud and Security Administrator collaborates with various departments to establish security policies, monitor compliance, and respond to security incidents. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the subsequent items, and are characterized in the following five standards of performance, defined as below: I. JOB KNOWLEDGE: • Establishing and enforcing security policies to protect information systems and data. • Coordinating with technology and business teams to assess risk and stay abreast of cybersecurity threats. • Oversight of the Help Desk Technician II and I. • Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents. • Assisting the Director of Information Systems on development and implementation of identified strategic initiatives for the Agency. • Developing and conducting training programs on various technological and cyber security related topics for employees and stakeholders. • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal security laws and regulations. • Developing an incident response plan and leading incident response efforts. • Staying current on IT technology and security trends and news. • Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network. • Monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies. • Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats. • Performing penetration tests to find any flaws. • Collaborating with management and the IT department to improve security. • Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage. • Educating colleagues about security software and best practices for information security.

Requirements

  • Possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities and effective time management/organizational skills.
  • Able to work scheduled hours that may include overtime, weekend and/or holiday timeframes and maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in employee personnel policy manual and handbook.
  • Be computer literate with knowledge of agency operating systems and applicable software required for all department needs.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must physically be able to perform tasks required certifications and lift fifty (50) pounds.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license record that meets the agency’s insurance carrier guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 1-5 years’ work experience in the field.
  • Experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, meets the above standards of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are valued.
