About The Position

The Cloud Developer is responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role requires the ability to implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience.
5 years of experience.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services.
Proficient in DevSecOps practices and automation tools - GitLab
Proficient in container orchestration and security practices.
Proven experience in cloud architecture and cloud service delivery models.
Strong analytical skills to provide recommendations for cloud migration and deployment.
Experience in developing strategies for cloud service failure/recovery and cost optimization.
Ability to manage cloud policies and ensure secure cloud environments.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Active Top Secret.
Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
Strong understanding of software development best practices.
Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades.
Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of database management and integration.
Understanding of web security best practices.
Ability to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement cloud infrastructure for applications and migrate existing on-premises
Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
Analyze applications and provide recommendations for platform migration, deployment into a cloud environment, and optimization.
Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
Manage policies for cloud service usage, new technology requests, and ensure the establishment of a secure cloud environment.
Ensure appropriate availability and uptime design for cloud services.
Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud infrastructure.
Other duties as assigned.
