About The Position

WoodmenLife is seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Cloud Engineer III to help shape the future of our Azure cloud platform. This senior technical role is highly impactful—driving cloud modernization, advancing our Azure Landing Zone, and strengthening cloud engineering maturity across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with our Cloud Architect and partner with Systems Engineers, Enterprise Architects, and cross‑functional teams to engineer secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions. Beyond hands‑on engineering, you will uplift team capability, influence platform direction, and help build a modern cloud ecosystem that enables innovation across WoodmenLife. At WoodmenLife, you’ll also enjoy a culture that values people as much as technology. With Friday afternoons off year‑round, a collaborative environment, and a focus on outcomes rather than hours, you’ll find a workplace designed to support both professional impact and personal well-being. This role is part of the Systems Engineering team, a group of nine highly skilled infrastructure engineers within the Technical Services division of Business Technology. As a senior contributor, you’ll serve as a go‑to cloud expert, partnering closely with the Cloud Architect to define and operationalize cloud standards, solutions, and best practices across the enterprise. The Cloud Engineer III is a senior technical contributor responsible for engineering, implementing, and optimizing WoodmenLife’s Azure cloud infrastructure. Partnering closely with the Cloud Architect, this role operationalizes cloud standards and guardrails, delivers reusable engineering patterns, and ensures secure, scalable, high‑performing cloud platforms that support current and future modernization initiatives.
