About The Position

Mythics is seeking a Cloud Engineering Developer to work in our Cloud Center of Excellence group that will support the design, development, deployment, and operation of a secure Multicloud architecture—centered on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)—to host model repositories, simulation environments, and advanced edge system emulation capabilities. This role focuses on building scalable compute environments that leverage bare metal and virtual machine instances, high-performance CPUs, NVIDIA GPUs, and low-latency RDMA networking to support large-scale CPU/GPU distributed workloads within an IL5-designated region. The developer will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders, industry partners, and edge device providers to parameterize diverse edge systems and build cloud-based emulation environments that drive model performance testing and recommendation engine outputs.

Requirements

  • Must pocess Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years work experience.
  • Experience developing in cloud environments, preferably including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Hands-on experience deploying high-performance computing (HPC), GPU-accelerated workloads, or distributed compute using RDMA networks.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment tools.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders including government teams, industry partners, and hardware/software vendors.
  • Familiarity with system modeling, hardware parameterization, or simulation/emulation frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in DoD environments, secure cloud regions, or Impact Level 5 (IL5) cloud deployments.
  • Prior work with edge computing systems, embedded devices, or sensor-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment workflows, model evaluation, or model garden environments.
  • Experience supporting technical demonstrations, engineering reviews, or cross-functional technical working groups.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition, design, and deployment of a Multicloud architecture including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for hosting model gardens, models, and emulation workloads.
  • Build and scale compute environments using high-performance OCI bare metal and virtual machine instances with GPU acceleration and RDMA cluster networking.
  • Ensure all architectures and deployments comply with IL5 security requirements and Army-approved design patterns.
  • Lead the parameterization effort to capture and formalize edge device characteristics required for realistic cloud-based emulation.
  • Develop and maintain a structured database that documents CPU, RAM, storage, specialized hardware, network configurations, communication protocols, sensor specifications, power constraints, and other relevant system parameters.
  • Coordinate and run industry working groups, sprints, technical exchanges, and collaborative sessions to gather and refine edge system data.
  • Provide regular progress readouts, recommendations, and technical updates to government leadership.
  • Collaborate with edge device vendors, Army stakeholders, and industry partners to identify and implement appropriate emulation software for designated edge systems.
  • Configure OCI compute, storage, networking, and platform services to run edge system emulation workloads at scale.
  • Capture emulation results in a cloud-based emulation warehouse for the purpose of model testing, performance scoring, and recommendation engine development.
  • Demonstrate emulation capabilities of specified edge systems in support of ARIA Team Black demonstration events.
