The Azure Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments. This role combines people leadership with direct technical execution, including infrastructure build-out, automation, troubleshooting, and optimization. The Azure Manager works daily in Azure alongside the team while ensuring stability, security, and alignment with business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Equivalent experience may be considered)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting cloud or infrastructure environments
- 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical staff
- Demonstrated experience building and operating Azure environments directly
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Infrastructure as Code and automation experience
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools
- Experience with networking concepts, hybrid connectivity, and identity management
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Azure certifications (Administrator, Solutions Architect, or Security Engineer)
- Experience supporting production environments with 24/7 availability requirements
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure including computer, networking, storage, and identity services
- Perform hands-on configuration and administration of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and services
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent tools
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure issues, serving as the senior technical escalation point
