Role: The Cloud Network Engineer plays a critical role owning the engineering, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of Blackstone’s network security infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our network security platforms and requires deep technical expertise across network, cloud, and DevOps domains.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing, engineering, and implementing network security solutions or similar network tools.
  • Prior experience leading major incidents, collaborating with related teams, and managing stakeholders.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure management, knowledge of cloud network architectures.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code frameworks and automation scripting.
  • Solid knowledge of routing, switching, network protocols, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, and observability tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration for both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Highly organized, effectively prioritizes and manages uncertainty.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and project delivery.
  • Adaptable, proactive learner, adjusts well to change.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough in reviewing and identifying gaps in solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, deploy, and support network security infrastructure within our Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture, including secure web gateways, zero trust network access, cloud access security brokers, firewalls, and cloud-based network controls.
  • Leverage networking expertise to provide advanced operational support for network security tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from L1/L2 support teams.
  • Lead deployments, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Design and evaluate new solutions to meet evolving technology and security requirements.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code.
  • Implement and maintain observability solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
