About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Cloud Security Engineer supporting one of our Federal customers in Washington D.C. MINIMUM CLEARANCE LEVEL: Public Trust + Suitability CITIZENSHIP: US Citizenship LOCATION: REMOTE — Primarily telework; occasional on-site as needed Employment Type: Full-Time Position Description: Implement and maintain cloud security controls for BOP cloud environments Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices) Configure and manage cloud security monitoring and logging Perform security assessments of cloud infrastructure and applications Remediate cloud security findings and vulnerabilities Develop automation scripts for security configuration and compliance checking Support container security implementation (image scanning, runtime protection) Maintain cloud security documentation and standard operating procedures Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field Qualifications: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services Proficiency in DevSecOps tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Experience with Infrastructure as Code security (Terraform, CloudFormation) Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes, image scanning) Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools and secure coding practices Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools Understanding of zero trust architecture principles Certification Requirement Multiple certifications required — Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) AND Security (Security+, CCSP, CEH, or equivalent) About Excentium Excentium is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing cybersecurity and IT services to federal agencies. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code security (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes, image scanning)
  • Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools and secure coding practices
  • Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools
