About The Position

Concept Solutions is seeking a Cloud Server Administrator to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The Cloud Server Administrator will administer, operate, and maintain the data centers, performing infrastructure upgrades and improving both physical and virtual servers. Build and deploy Cloud and VMware or Nutanix virtual servers. Build and deploy physical servers from bare metal. Administer, operate, and maintain the enterprise data center (mix of Nutanix, Windows, and Linux). Automate routine tasks using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, and Python. Deploy servers via the DevOps toolchain. Secure sites via https or ftps and remediate SSL vulnerabilities as needed using Internet Information Services (IIS) knowledge. Perform infrastructure upgrades and improve physical and virtual servers. Review and implement STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides). Optimize system operations and resource utilization. Perform capacity analysis and planning. Perform storage hardware maintenance, including drive swaps. Support weekend maintenance windows. Plan and perform server research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with customer specifications. Participate in the development of system designs, implantation tasks, and maintenance of systems. Produce and adhere to server documentation, configuration, and related processes. Update team wiki articles. Perform server troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and operating system issues. Use lateral thinking to problem-solve. Provide Tier III support for data centers. Perform emergency break/fix repairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees); eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • Cloud & Virtualization: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Security Groups), Azure virtual servers, VMware/Nutanix, P2V migrations
  • Server & OS Administration: Windows Server (DFS, fileshares, app installs, patching, firewall management), OS-level troubleshooting, partitions, RAID
  • Storage Management: Configure and manage storage for virtual and physical servers
  • Automation & DevOps: Ansible, Terraform, scripting for deployments and OS packages
  • Web & Security: IIS administration, SSL remediation, security best practices
  • Networking: Cisco routers, switches, VLANs, and network troubleshooting
  • Directory & Identity Services: Active Directory / Entra administration
  • Incident & Change Management: Ticket tracking, maintenance windows, change control compliance
  • Professional Strengths: Strong written/verbal communication, self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities across networks and systems
