About The Position

SMX is seeking an energetic Full-Stack Developer to join a dynamic team working on creating mission-oriented applications for a forward leaning organization. This person should have experience working in Cloud development with AWS services, such as serverless computing, Lambda, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, and knowledgeable in at least one programming language. Ideal candidates would have working knowledge of Full-Stack development concepts into frontend development (i.e., CSS, HTML, React/Angular libraries, etc.), REST API, and experience with CI/CD AWS tools and DevOps practices. Experience with Agile methodology a plus.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance required
  • Experience with development tools and frameworks, serverless concepts, Rest API integration with client-side frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience working in Full-Stack Web App Development
  • Experience working on teams operating under an Agile Scrum delivery methodology
  • Proven ability to document, promote and present your work to other teams and to customers
  • Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular and jQuery
  • Development languages: Knowledge of server-side programming languages including node.js, Javascript, typescript and/or Python
  • Database and cache: Familiarity with DBMS technology including SQLServer and non-SQLserver databases and caching mechanisms as Redis
  • Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
  • Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it

Responsibilities

  • Work with business and technical leads on the Center of Excellence initiatives.

  • Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment
  • Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment
  • Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications
  • Overseeing and guiding the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software
  • Overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process
  • Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs
