Cloud Solution Architect
About The Position
The role of the experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design, lead, and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to define cloud architectures that support application modernization, data platforms, and enterprise integrations across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on cloud experience, deep architectural knowledge, and the ability to guide cloud strategy from design through implementation. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or solution architecture
- 4+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform services
- Experience with application architecture, integration patterns, and APIs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Compute & platform services: VMs, containers, serverless
- Networking: VPC/VNet, load balancing, connectivity
- Security: IAM, encryption, network security
- Architecture documentation and modeling tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Confident presenter with executive-level communication skills
- Collaborative, outcome-driven mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of data platforms, analytics, or integration middleware
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design end-to-end cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
- Define cloud reference architectures, patterns, and best practices
- Lead solution design for cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
- Evaluate cloud services and recommend optimal designs for performance, security, and cost
- Cloud Migration & Modernization
- Architect and support application and data migrations to the cloud
- Guide modernization initiatives including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting
- Design solutions leveraging cloud-native services such as containers, serverless, and managed platforms
- Security, Governance & Reliability
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards
- Design for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency
- Partner with security teams on identity, access management, and data protection
- Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and delivery planning
- Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and roadmaps to technical and executive audiences
