About The Position

The Cloud Solutions Engineer a leading role in developing cloud architecture designs that result in robust, reliable, and secure cloud platform solutions. Working under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Engineer plays an integral part in advancing the Firms hybrid cloud presence. This includes serving as the technical engineer across core systems including but not limited to: Cloud, Virtualization, Server, Storage, Network, Endpoints and Directory Services.

Requirements

  • Strong experience regarding cloud computing (including design, management, maintenance, and support).
  • Extensive knowledge working with M365 E5 features.
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge Azure SAAS, PAAS. This includes a deep understanding in all Cloud-as-a-Service varieties including PaaS, IaaS and SaaS and an understanding of the differences between the services and where they overlap.
  • Experience designing and developing Azure computing infrastructure, data implementation, networking implementation, security and identity solutions, and solutions by using Azure platform services. This includes experience in performing hands-on Azure work to solve complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Azure cloud technologies and services.
  • Experience implementing secure and scalable Azure cloud architectures.
  • Azure PowerShell or similar scripting experience.
  • Working knowledge of backup and cloud restoration services.
  • Experience in developing technical project plans and implementing/supporting IT initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft tenant administration that includes all Microsoft administrative portals.
  • Azure Identity Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite of applications.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or comparable education and work experience.
  • Minimum of three to five years of cloud services experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more Microsoft cloud certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm or professional services setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Configures and maintains the Microsoft 365 tenant settings to align with firms’ requirements.
  • Implements and maintains security policies, compliance features, and data governance settings that include Microsoft Defender features.
  • Configures and manages Microsoft Intune, Teams, Power Apps, EOL with full working knowledge of entire Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Ensures integration and interoperability between Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Manages Entra Active Directory users, groups, and roles that include extensive knowledge of Single-Sign-On, Conditional Access policies and MFA.
  • Ensures Director and other key stakeholders are updated timely on the progress of projects, systems availability and proposed technical strategies.
  • Meets with various team(s) to assess and define the on-going and new system requirements.
  • Analyzes cloud technologies to determine inefficiencies and problems.
  • Develops and designs cloud standards that are scalable.
  • Partners with others in managing project timelines and documentation for various projects, etc.
  • Prepares network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
  • Has a leading role in training various stakeholders, teams, and individuals on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
  • Maintains standard procedures and system standards to optimize the firm’s technology.
  • Maintains system configuration and implementation.
  • Maintains up-to-date product knowledge of pertinent cloud technologies related to position.
  • Manages security updates for systems infrastructure.
  • Recommend process/technology improvements to the Director of Information Technology.
  • Provides escalated support to our internal engineers for client issues by troubleshooting and applying knowledge.
  • Assists with handling service tickets regarding escalated IT service matters.
  • Assists with after-hours, time sensitive issues as needed. This includes, but it not limited to, being part of an after-hours on call rotation (estimated to be approximately 12 times/year).
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
