About The Position

As a Cloud Systems Administrator IV, you will maintain the smooth operation of various cloud-based systems, including coordination with network administrators. You will set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation for cloud infrastructure and tenant inventory, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space. You will respond to large-scale events involving the instantiation of virtual resources such as virtual machines (VMs) and storage. You will troubleshoot and resolve critical software and system failures. You will propose, drive, and implement technical solutions that improve automation, operational efficiency, and scalability. Additionally, you will develop and enhance tools, reports, and processes used to monitor the health of cloud environments and provide updates regarding operating system releases, patches, bugs, and fixes. This position specifically requires experience supporting environments within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Considered an emerging authority in cloud systems administration, applying extensive technical expertise
  • Ability to develop technical solutions to complex infrastructure challenges with minimal guidance
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
  • Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure administration, automation, and security principles
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and configuration management
  • Experience with network administration, including switches, routers, and VoIP infrastructure
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
  • At least one cloud certification

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with public or private cloud deployments
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure best practices and industry standards
  • Experience in network and domain administration

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage public and private cloud environments using automated methodologies
  • Administer, configure, and maintain or monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance
  • Establish and implement cloud operational standards to align with business and IT requirements
  • Support, redesign, and re-engineer existing on-premises networks, servers, and VoIP infrastructure
  • Maintain and optimize existing network and domain environments while ensuring security and reliability
  • Design and implement new on-premises and cloud systems using best practices and industry standards
  • Administer and configure network switches and routers to support seamless infrastructure operations
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Develop and maintain custom automation scripts using PowerShell, Python or Bash and cloud resource automation, terraform and/or OCI Resource Manager
  • Support administration and monitoring of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including compute instances, storage, networking, and tenant configurations
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and diagrams for IT infrastructure to support operational continuity and compliance
  • Develop technical solutions to complex infrastructure problems while exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches
  • Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across program functions
  • Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
  • Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
  • Participate in growth efforts as requested
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
  • Complete personal PDP and attend staff meetings and Storytime (with camera on)
  • Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients within your program
  • Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements
