About The Position

Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to join a client in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a hybrid position that will require working onsite for a minimum of three (3) days each week. required US Citizenship OR Green Card required No third parties. No Corp-to-Corp. Position Summary: The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, migration, and ongoing management of cloud-based infrastructure with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. The Cloud Systems Engineer will be: At the forefront of enhancing our client’s Enterprise IT services and will support mission-critical workloads. An integral part of the entire system lifecycle—from requirements analysis and architecture design to secure integration, deployment, documentation and transition to operations. Leading efforts to migrate on‑premises workloads to the cloud, manage hybrid environments, ensure security and compliance standards are met and optimize cloud costs. Supporting modern workplace technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop and emerging AI tooling, while collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams. Implementing Azure identity and access solutions such as Azure AD, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and role-based access control (RBAC). Collaborating with network and security teams to ensure seamless connectivity, effective segmentation, and regulatory compliance. This role calls for a strong technical aptitude in Azure platform services, identity management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, with an emphasis on collaboration across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure setup, administration, and operations.
• Proven experience migrating on‑premises servers and workloads to the cloud.
• Experience managing and optimizing cloud costs.
• Solid background in on‑premises Active Directory and GPO management, with an understanding of security frameworks such as CIS.
• Experience deploying and managing Azure Virtual Desktop / Microsoft 365 Cloud PC.
• Previous experience with Scripting and Automation.
• Experience supporting or managing AI-related tools or platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot for device provisioning and lifecycle management.

Nice To Haves

• Additional experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) highly desired.
