About The Position

MLT- The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) obtains specimens from patients and performs established clinical tests, follows procedures and Interprets test results. Performs instrument and equipment maintenance. Reviews and follows requests for tests prescribed by the provider. Follows the established procedures when performing Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Serology, Molecular or newly developed procedures. Maintains confidentiality while working with patient results and provides service direct to patients while maintaining a positive patient relations atmosphere. Follows procedures and precautions when involved in direct patient contact or when handling potentially infectious materials. Follows safety and infection control guidelines and policies for the hospital. Requirements

  • MLT - associate degree or higher from an accredited university in Clinical Laboratory Science or related science.
  • MT - Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university in Clinical Laboratory Science or related science
  • Must be registered and have a Board of Certification (BOC), or test eligible, in the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
  • One (1) year experience as a Generalist.
  • Have you used Cerner?
  • Can you perform phlebotomy?
  • Can you blood bank and multitask?
