We are currently seeking a CM Fabricator II who is responsible for completing tasks as directed or per route card and standard work instructions. Capable of welding and fabricating parts with some guidance, or assistance. Focus on safe, efficient, reliable work and operation of equipment to ensure the production of quality products and machining up time. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge of all basic tools and equipment, including band saw, drill press, sand blaster, rotex punch, cold saw, acetylene torch, and hydraulic punch.
  • Requires excellent MIG and TIG welding skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic computer skills required to perform and record Romer arm measurements.
  • Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – welding helmet, hand protection, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
  • Constantly stands, manually manipulates, reaches outward, lifts/ carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently walks, reaches above shoulder, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally sits, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to and over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Romer arm is a plus.
  • AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel certification is preferred.
  • AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code – Sheet Steel certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently and precisely weld steel and or aluminum components.
  • Utilize Tig or MIG welding
  • Assist with evaluation of parts disposition and prioritization of build schedule.
  • Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Perform tests using micrometers, scales, squares, height gauge, calipers, measuring tape.
  • Track time spent on jobs.
