About The Position

University Internal Medicine is a specialized adult primary care clinic serving patients 18 years and older. We provide comprehensive care for: • Women’s and men’s health • Preventive screenings and annual wellness visits • Chronic disease management (including diabetes and high blood pressure) • Care for patients with multiple or complex medical conditions Our team includes dedicated internal medicine and family medicine physicians, along with resident physicians, allowing us to deliver well-rounded, collaborative care tailored to each patient.   • American Medical Technologist (AMT)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • National Health career Association (NHA)
  • MedCA as a Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior outpatient or primary care experience preferred (role-dependent)

Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
