About The Position

Pursuit Aerospace Morton is a contract manufacturer of high precision CNC machined aerospace, and power generation parts. Our primary business centers around large turbine components for the jet engine industry. Located in Morton, Illinois we have been in business for 45 years and offer a state of the art, safe, clean, and air-conditioned facility to work in. Job Summary: Inspect products and determine if they meet customer requirements. Operate and control the CMM and other inspection equipment, read CMM reports and correlate with blueprint dimensions. Visually inspect product and clean product prior to shipment. Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record inspection results. Notify management and operators about suspect inspection results. Receiving in process and final inspection, determine the correct gaging needed to do the job. Assist with gage calibration. Prepare test and inspection reports as requested. Produce data entry information (SPC), as requested. Clean and perform general maintenance of CMM and other inspection equipment. Use tools or inspection equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to read CMM printouts and teach operators how to read them
  • Ability to understand blueprints and GD&T
  • Must be able to perform the physical activities required such as lifting and bending.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
