About The Position

HJ Staffing is looking for a CNA-Nursing Facility to support a high-standard nursing facility. This role combines the hands-on care of a Certified Nurse Aide with the technical responsibilities of a Medication Technician. You will be a vital link in the clinical team, ensuring residents receive both their prescribed medications and the daily living support necessary for their well-being. You will have access to tailored support and flexible scheduling options (Morning, Mid, or Night shifts) to help you advance your career with purpose.

Requirements

  • Active CNA Certification and Med Tech (MT) Certification.
  • Online License Verification.
  • RI FBI/BCI - National Criminal Background Check.
  • Criminal Background Check.
  • OIG and EPLS/GSA Search.
  • State and National Sex Offender Search.
  • Physical (No Expiration Date).
  • PPD's (2 Skin Tests or QuantiFeron); Positive PPD results require a Chest X-Ray (No Expiration Date).
  • Annual TB Questionnaire.
  • MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (Series, Titer, or Immunizations/Declination).
  • Influenza Vaccination and TDAP (No Expiration Date).
  • BLS Certification.
  • CEU Dementia Training.
  • Annual Mandatory Training Attestation Form.
  • Proven experience in a nursing facility or long-term care environment is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong focus on accuracy in medication dosing and resident documentation.
  • A self-starter who can work efficiently under general direction.

Responsibilities

  • Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
  • Clinical Monitoring: Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to the nursing lead.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records of medication administration and resident care in the facility's management system.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, HIPAA privacy rules, and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment.
