About The Position

We are growing to be one of the most recognized names for quality senior care in Central Texas and we are seeking Personal Care Assistants to perform any and all non-medical activities that result in making our clients comfortable, safe and able to live where they choose to live.

Requirements

Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
Must have reliable transportation

Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License and car insurance.
Clear background check.
Participate in physical activity.
Work for extended period of time while standing
Lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal hygiene, including shower, tub or bed baths, dressing, oral care, hair and skin care.
Help clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bed pans.
Help clients in and out of bed, excluding the use of mechanical lifting equipment unless trained and documented as competent.
Help clients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable.
Help clients with self-administration of medications.
Help with prescribed exercises when the client and the Personal Care Assistant have been instructed by the appropriate health professional.
Meal preparation and feeding, when required.
Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior or appearance to supervisor or Case Coordinator.
Document services delivered in accordance with Blue Water Homecare policies and procedures.
