Key Responsibilities As a CNA Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for shaping our CNA program from the beginning, as well as delivering high-quality education and ensuring students are fully prepared to pass the state certification exam.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina (NCBON compliant)
- At least (2) years of experience as an RN
- At least (1) year RN experience in long-term care facility services
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Expert knowledge of nursing concepts and CNA curriculum
- Ability to create an encouraging, structured learning environment
- Patience and a calm, composed demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Classroom management and leadership abilities
- Passion for education and student success
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Strong problem-solving skills and responsiveness
- Compassionate and committed to quality elder care
Nice To Haves
- Experience with teaching or supervising nurse aides, preferred course in teaching adults
Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and manage the CNA training program, including classroom, laboratory, and clinical components
- Coordinate clinical site approvals and maintain relationships with partner facilities
- Ensure compliance with NCDHSR regulations
- Recruit, orient, and evaluate program faculty
- Designing engaging and effective teaching strategies
- Monitoring student progress and performance
- Plan and deliver faculty orientation and annual in-service training
- Ensure the maintenance of training facilities, equipment, and supply inventories
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to support program goals
