About The Position

Have a passion for helping and caring for people... Become a Certified Nursing Aide! Spanish Cove is proud to announce its new CNA Training program. With our hands on program, we will give you the skills you need to become a successful CNA in the nursing field. We will guide you every step of the way! The relationships built between our employees and residents is one of a kind! Want to make a difference? Come join our Spanish Cove Family! Must be 18 or older OR a high school graduate. Class will begin Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 8:30am. (This is NOT a Paid Training Program.) Classes are Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday from 8:30am- 5:00pm, the program lasts four (4) weeks. In order to START the program, you must pay for the following: Background Check- $29.00 (Must be paid within 72 hours of accepting the "Student Offer") Fingerprinting- $10.00 (Must be cleared at least a week before class) Must be 18 or older OR a high school graduate. Background check & fingerprint must all be received & completed 1 WEEK PRIOR to the start date of the Program. If not, you will be removed from the program. Attendance is CRUCIAL because the program is 4 weeks. We do not allow absences. What Spanish Cove will provide: CNA Training course at NO COST to you. The learning equipment & materials needed for clinical. Pay for the CNA Test (When it is time for you to test)

Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older OR a high school graduate.
  • Background check & fingerprint must all be received & completed 1 WEEK PRIOR to the start date of the Program.
  • Attendance is CRUCIAL because the program is 4 weeks. We do not allow absences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
  • Help with mobility around the facility or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Plan and prepare meals.
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises.
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
