SUMMARY The CNA provides assistance with activities of daily living to all residents as appropriate and requested under the direction of nursing and medical staff. Position requires excellent customer service skills and professionalism at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing care for residents. Listening to residents/families and responding to all concerns and questions. Assisting with all necessary and appropriate resident care, including toileting, vital signs, transferring, bathing, dressing and washing all areas associated with the ADLs, and reporting any resident concerns or changing conditions to the supervising nursing staff. Dining room responsibility when needed (cross training will be provided). Ensuring a safe environment during resident activities. Qualifications: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Valid State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; must have completed all state (HRS) mandated training. Current CPR certification. This position requires a background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
