About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist to join a growing precision manufacturing team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role will operate Okuma CNC machines with OSP-P300 controls to machine high-value castings and forgings into precision components used across multiple industries. This opportunity is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in precision work, tight tolerances, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

5+ years of CNC machining experience with true 5-axis machining preferred
Experience operating Okuma machines with OSP-P300 CNC controls
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and setup procedures
Ability to read blueprints and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with precision inspection tools and quality checks
Experience loading/unloading parts using cranes
Familiarity with manual clamping and part location methods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
Basic computer skills and ability to read/write English

Responsibilities

Operate Okuma 5-axis CNC machines utilizing OSP-P300 controls
Follow written instructions, blueprints, and machining specifications
Perform complex machining operations to close tolerances and finish specifications
Conduct simple setups on multiple jobs and operate more than one machine when required
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and gauges
Review and respond to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports
Load and unload parts using cranes and proper material handling procedures
Perform tool setup, offsets, and compensation adjustments
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
