About The Position

We are growing and in need of a Metal Lathe/Milling Machinist for our VSS Macropaver location in Hickman, Ca.

Our CNC Lathe/Milling Machinist will help the fabrication department with all their needs. Thew ideal candidate will have a variety of a skillset from machining to welding to reading of blue prints.

Requirements

• Familiarity with CNC Lathe/Mill Machine programming

Nice To Haves

• Fabrication experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Mazak Mazitrol for mill and/or lathe is big plus
• Welding experience and/or certifications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.
• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
• Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary
