About The Position

The CNC Machinist Level II supports production by independently setting up and running moderately complex CNC jobs while ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to shop standards. This role contributes technical knowledge and continuous improvement within the CNC department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years CNC machining and/or programming experience
• Experience with multi-axis machining and program edits
• Strong print reading, GD&T, and inspection skills
• Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements – Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities. This position is subject to ITAR which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. Person as U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe jobs
• Modify CNC programs to improve efficiency
• Check parts for accuracy and quality compliance
• Assist with machine maintenance and workstation upkeep
