About The Position

The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist performs set up tasks, loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
  • Minimum three years of related experience.
  • Ability to read blue prints and use measuring tools

Nice To Haves

  • Mazak milling and turning centers using Fusion
  • Matrix or Matrix II controls (Mazatrol and G-Code programming)

Responsibilities

  • Creates part identification tags
  • Recognizes and loads correct tooling into lathe, mill, or 5 axis
  • Describes correct tool data from set up sheet
  • Teach tool offsets
  • Loads fixtures/work holding
  • Sets up and edits bar feeder when applicable
  • Finds work piece coordinates
  • Cycles and measures first piece
  • Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
