General Electric Company is seeking highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinists for our 2nd and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC machinery to produce precision components according to specifications, contributing to GE's mission of innovation and quality. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and setting up CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, bore gauges).
  • Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
  • Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift hours, as assigned, and be flexible with potential overtime.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls is a plus.
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in machining is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to fabricate parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and other technical documents to ensure accurate part production.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
  • Adjust machine offsets, change tools, and troubleshoot minor machine issues to maintain optimal performance and quality.
  • Monitor machine operation for unusual sounds, vibrations, or other indicators of potential problems, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance as required.
