The Role (CNC) Machinists operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc. Inside machinists troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct. The machinists perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications.

Requirements

• US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes
• The candidate must be able to understand written instructions and strong math skills are essential.
• This is a construction environment involving extreme heights, confined spaces, physical labor and various weather conditions within a shipyard environment.
• Entry level candidates must pass Work keys testing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus.
• Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.
