About The Position

Join our Greenwood, IN team as a CNC Milling Machinist on 2nd or 3rd shift. You’ll run Haas 3‑ and 4‑axis vertical machining centers to cut, drill, mill, ream, bore, and broach both metallic and non‑metallic parts with precision. A Day in the Life Your shift starts with reviewing drawings and job plans. You select and stage tooling, verify fixturing against print, and mount workholding. You’ll load control media (tape, card, or disk) or retrieve preprogrammed instructions, then calculate offsets and set speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and coolant flow. During setup, you conduct prove‑outs and limited manual programming when approved by your Supervisor. Once running, you watch the machine displays and part quality, pausing to swap tools or measure critical features as needed to keep everything in tolerance. If something drifts, you’ll adjust controls or G/M codes, and when automation isn’t cooperating, you’ll operate the machine manually. Throughout the shift, you log data in the Traverse Manufacturing System, collaborate with programming or your Supervisor to resolve control media issues, and wrap up by cleaning the machine, tooling, and work area while performing routine maintenance.
