About The Position

Aluma KLM’s Emmetsburg IA location is currently accepting applications for full-time 1st shift CNC Operators who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best aluminum trailer in the industry. Production hours consist of four (4) 10-hour days. Summary: Under the direct supervision of department supervisor in a manufacturing environment an individual will run a CNC machine to fabricate parts. Previous experience is preferred, but not required, we will train the right candidate. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have the ability to work in a team environment. In order to perform this job successfully an individual will have the ability to read/understand work orders and how to read/use a tape measure or other necessary measuring devices and have reliable and consistent work history with good attendance. Candidate must be able to successfully complete the Physical Capacity Profile (PCP) to required standard and Pre-employment drug screen. A High School education or equivalent is required. Responsibilities

  • Performs all assigned CNC operations, such as load and cycle CNC machines.
  • Detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions.
  • Comprehend and follow checklists, masters and prints.
  • Conduct all work in a safe manor, including use of a hoist, step stool and hand tools.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 6s of area.
  • Follow all Aluma Safety and Company policies and procedures including the use of all required PPE.
  • Maintain all Aluma quality standards including recognize parts issues and defects so they can be corrected.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
