About The Position

Oberg Medical is looking for skilled CNC Operators to join our Chicago team. We are accepting applications to fill both daylight shift and night shift positions.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of the apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
• Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.
• Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity.
• Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up & operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings.
• Modify CNC programs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Select the right cutters and determine proper feeds & speeds.
• Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.
