About The Position

What You'll Do: Responsible for Computer Numerically Controlled machines (i.e. generate, edit, troubleshoot and verify CNC Programs) utilizing CNC technology by means of programming, setup, and operating a CNC machine. Operate a CNC machine to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. (Challenge Mfg. Company offers newer and well-kept CNC equipment in a climate controlled environment. Equipment includes Haas CNC Mills and Mitsubishi Wire EDM) Inspect, verify and replace as needed tooling utilized in the CNC work center. Calculate, record and enter into the control the appropriate offsets for each tool. Maintain the appropriate production records in Plexus. Maintain the appropriate maintenance records in Plexus. Perform general (i.e. routine) maintenance of the equipment fluid levels and lubrication points Mastercam Programming preferred When and Where: This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position, located at our plant in Richmond, KY. This position will train on 1st shift, 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday - Friday. What You Need to Have: High School Diploma or equivalent, some college or technical school preferred. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications. Must have a minimum of two years' work experience as a CNC Programmer or Machinist / Operator. Tool and Die experience or training strongly preferred Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements
