Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions given by team lead regarding scheduled work orders and priorities
• Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
• Maintain professionalism and strict professional ethics at all times including quality of work
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with production, leads, management and technical personnel
• Must be humble, passionate about your job, and treat others with the greatest of respect
• High School Diploma OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Must be able to stand continuously and lift 50 pounds or more
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and earplugs

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in traffic safety, automotive product design, or relevant industries
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external suppliers

Responsibilities

• Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards, maintaining equipment and supplies
• Programs and adjusts machine
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to standards
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, facing, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures
• Trouble shoot malfunctions
• Work with all levels staff and support personnel in a positive team environment
• Other duties as assigned
