You start your shift by pulling job instruction sheets and blueprints, planning setups for mills and lathes, and loading the right tooling. You call up proven CNC programs, make offsets, and run first-article parts—verifying critical features with micrometers, bore and height gages, and other metrology tools. Throughout the day, you monitor cycle performance, correct out-of-tolerance conditions, and collaborate with engineers and team leads to keep quality high and throughput steady. You’ll route finished parts to the next operation, keep work and status records up to date, and help continuously improve safety, flow, and 5S in the cell.
