About The Position

CNC Programmer/Operator Are you ready to bring your CNC skills to a team that values precision and innovation? At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we're dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled CNC Programmers like you! What You'll Do: Analyze specifications : Review job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to calculate dimensions, select tools, and determine machine speeds. Program CNC machines : Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to ensure precision and efficiency. CNC setup & calibration : Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools, and ensure proper machine function before production. Trial runs & adjustments : Perform trial simulations, adjusting programs as needed to ensure accuracy and minimize errors. Safety & cleanliness : Follow all safety standards, wear PPE for the duration of the shift while on the manufacturing floor, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Cross-departmental support : Assist with other areas of production as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience : At least 2 years of experience programming setup CNC turning.
  • Technical knowledge : Strong understanding of basic machining practices and mechanical processes.
  • Mathematics & communication : Solid math skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical details.
  • Problem-solving & teamwork : Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Physical requirements : Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Work ethic : Dependable with a commitment to high-quality, precise work standards.

Nice To Haves

  • CAM software : Experience with CAM software preferred.
