Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for our 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills. You will translate technical blueprints into G/M-code using CAM software, select appropriate tooling, and collaborate with operators to ensure precision and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience.
  • Proficiency in G/M-code using MasterCam and/or Fusion 360.
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC machining.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and instructional drawings.
  • Mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use precision gages/tools.
  • Comprehension of machine tolerance.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot programs for our 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills.
  • Translate technical blueprints into G/M-code, select appropriate tooling, and collaborate with operators to ensure precision and efficiency utilizing CAM software.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to determine optimal machining paths.
  • Calculate spindle speeds and feed rates to maximize tool life and reduce cycle times.
  • Assist machine operators with initial setup and prove-outs to prevent collisions and errors.
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and gages to ensure conformance to tight tolerances.
