About The Position

Our client, an international industrial manufacturer, is looking to add a CNC Programming Specialist to their team in Lenoir County, NC. This role combines hands-on CNC programming with helping improve manufacturing processes and workflows as the company brings more machining operations in-house. They’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running: installing equipment, programming machines, making adjustments, and supporting the shop floor. Beyond programming, you’ll help optimize processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to stronger process controls across production. This is a very hands-on role where you’ll spend about 75% of your time on the shop floor. If you’re looking for a primarily desk-based role, this may not be the right fit. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of CNC programming experience
Experience programming CNC mills and lathes
Proficiency with 2D CAD software
Able to work onsite daily

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and other machines
Lead ongoing optimization of production methods to improve efficiency
Interpret blueprints and CAD models to determine machining strategy
Validate CNC programs and address machining concerns
Develop and enhance fabrication methods, tooling, and equipment solutions
Support new product introductions and design updates
Maintain detailed technical records, including tooling designs
Provide floor-level technical assistance to correct production challenges
Enhance programs to reduce cycle time, extend tool life, and improve overall efficiency
Review labor and cost requirements to guide resource allocation
Reinforce organizational standards, safety expectations, and best practices
