Your New Role We have multiple CNN Digital Editorial internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for multiple internship opportunities within this general area. These internships will be located in the NYC area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. Example internship opportunities could include: CNN Underscored Editorial Intern CNN Heroes Intern CNN Business Reporting Intern

Requirements

Writing samples are required
Curious mind
Excellent communicator
Attention to detail
Research skills
Digital literacy
Have keen understanding of how to spot and tell a great story
An interest in writing for business, consumer, ecommerce, product reviews, lifestyle, science, or travel features
Experience reading, evaluating and reporting on studies and data
Basic understanding of cross-platform storytelling
Experience working in a digital newsroom
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Responsibilities

Hands-on work and mentorship from passionate, talented team members journalism
Reporting and writing multiple news stories every week on deadlines and receiving a byline for those stories
Research developing and breaking news stories
Fact-check
Log tapes
Conduct interviews
Pitch story ideas
Write brief news copy
Contributing to and writing original stories for CNN Digital
Independent research on topics/designated areas of interest for growth and audience engagement as directed by relevant members of the team
