Job Summary As a Coating Operator, you will work to resurface and texturize customer supplied parts using a spray nozzle as specified by work order instructions.
Requirements
- Must be proficient at operating a blasting nozzle.
- Know proper blasting pressures as they relate to specifications for any particular part(s).
- Ability to be able to handle delicate parts large or small without damaging.
- Knowledge of how to read and understand prints.
- Has basic math and measurement skills
- Understands warping of parts along with acceptable roughness measurements and how to take such measurements.
- Has an appreciation for timeliness, quality, and punctuality
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of assigned areas
- Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by selecting appropriate media and settings based on material type and desired finish.
- Blast parts with some deposition and surfacing parts to specific specifications.
- Understand and follow operating procedures as assigned to the team to assure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts within this team.
- Work closely with the other departments regarding reworking and communication for incoming/outgoing parts.
- Interact with other blasters regarding jobs that require more than one person to complete.
