About The Position

Splicing Coaxial Cables: Perform splicing of coax cables of various sizes, including aerial and underground installations. This includes tasks such as strand and lash, make-ready, and new build projects. 2
Installation of Equipment: Install passive and active devices, pedestals, vaults, and coax splice cases as part of network upgrades and new builds. 2
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues within coaxial cable systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal signal loss. 2
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of splicing activities, including EOL readings and job documentation. 1
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms. 1

Requirements

• Experience: Typically requires 2-5 years of experience in coaxial splicing or telecommunications construction.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in coaxial cable installation, splicing techniques, and familiarity with fiber-to-coax integration is preferred.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively, ensuring the reliability of communication systems.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to work at heights and in various weather conditions, demonstrating physical stamina and safety awareness.
