About The Position

The Collateral Management, Senior Specialist plays a critical role in advancing our global collateral management capabilities through a combination of operational expertise and strategic execution.This position is designed for an experienced collateral professional who can oversee complex collateral functions while dedicating significant time to special projects. These projects and initiatives would support new product launches, regulatory change, and the modernization of collateral operating models. The role partners closely with operations, risk, accounting, and technology teams to strengthen controls, improve processes, and ensure the collateral framework remains scalable and resilient. As a subject‑matter expert within Collateral Management, the Senior Specialist strengthens regulatory readiness, advances best‑in‑class practices, and drives continuous improvement across regions and products.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience, preferably within collateral management, derivatives operations, or investment operations.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
  • Solid large scale project management experience with large initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Calypso helpful

Responsibilities

  • Oversees complex collateral operations and related transactional processes.
  • Owns the analysis and review of collateral valuation, margin calculations, exposure reconciliation, dispute management, collateral movements, and settlement activities to support investment management and risk mitigation.
  • Supports the implementation of new collateral frameworks, methodologies, and operational processes.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates external events and regulatory changes impacting collateral operations, including margin regulations and market infrastructure changes.
  • Oversees and adheres to established control standards to ensure ongoing regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to support global collateral operations across regions and products.
  • Leverages strong industry and market knowledge to support counterparty relationship management and to anticipate changes in regulatory requirements, market practices, and client needs.
  • Oversees the preparation and review of complex quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual collateral‑related reporting.
  • Prepares supporting documentation and deliverables for internal stakeholders, regulators, and external auditors.
  • Mentors and coaches other team members and serves as a subject‑matter expert within the collateral function.
  • Acts as a cross‑trained resource across the department, supporting operational coverage, escalation management, and on‑the‑job training for complex collateral processes and issues.
  • Develops and maintains a broad understanding of investment industry trends, regulatory developments, and market events that impact global collateral operating models.
  • Researches and evaluates changes in collateral regulations and market practices, recommending process improvements and control enhancements to mitigate operational and business risks.
  • Assists the global process owner in the development and maintenance of collateral workflows, procedures, and operating models.
  • Ensures comprehensive documentation of current policies, controls, and procedures is accurate and up to date.
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives related to collateral transformation, regulatory change, or operational enhancement, and performs other duties as assigned.
