About The Position

The Collections Analyst works in support of the Credit & Collections Manager. This position may have a variety of responsibilities related to different areas in this department including customer service, and other related functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 5+ years of commercial credit collections experience required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to remain professional in confrontational situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and within the team
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business management a plus
• Bilingual is a plus - Fluency in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

• Contact and follow up with customers to collect on past due balances
• Process certified demand letters
• Prepare legal documents for approval and transmission to external legal counsel
• Propose write-off balances to Credit & Collections Manager
• Meet or exceed performance metrics to include call activity targets, aging reduction, collection amounts and minimization of write-off amounts
• Analyze collection metrics and generate other reporting as directed by Credit & Collections Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
