Responsible for the supervision and training of collections staff. Monitors departmental delinquency and call volume goals to insure proper account penetration. Trains, mentors and motivates staff to meet and exceed company goals and standards. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of collectors with multiple levels of collection experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and other departments. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Skill in resolving conflicts and finding solutions to complex collection issues. Ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with policies. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain efficient operations. Familiarity with collection systems (e.g., ARTIVA, Isaac, ShoreTel) and other relevant software. Understanding of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FDCPA, FCRA) to ensure compliance. Providing excellent service to customers while maintaining firm collection practices. Ability to train and develop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback to improve results. Understanding financial principles related to collections and debt recovery. Building positive relationships with team members and other departments. Ability to adjust strategies and processes in response to changing circumstances. Demonstrates compliance with all company regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the corporate culture in all actions and words.
