Job Responsibilities: Efficient dismantling of vehicles to ensure timely repairs. Attention to detail for labeling and separating damaged parts from non-damaged parts to aid in the repair planning. Work with a Repair Planner for effective repair mapping. Work with a body technician to learn body shop basics to include; Operate a variety of hand and power tools ( welder, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.) Fill depressions with body filler, Remove damaged parts and hardware, reassemble after parts are painted; insure all repairs are in accordance with OEM standards. Ensure that working areas and equipment are kept clean and organized. Participate in ongoing training with I-CAR. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. Participate in ongoing training. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsJob Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. General mechanical skills. Valid Driver’s License. Pass pre-employment insurability, background and drug screenings Work well with others and be self-motivated
