About The Position

A fast-paced work environment with a focus on real-time monitoring of systems and enforcement. Creates a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach by demonstrating a high degree of professionalism. Uses email as a daily communication tool. Understands and uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications. Understands Google Mail and Calendar Monitor customer payments and citation issuance. Compiles, analyzes, and applies data. Use operational cameras to monitor garage operations. Event Support: Direct staff to areas of need. Monitor Ambassadors in the field to ensure that efficient routes are occurring. Manage incoming calls from Call Center. Provide information and direct staff as needed. Accurate reporting of incoming calls/citations Develops ideas to improve operation. Promotes a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications
  • Understands Google applications including G-Mail and Google Calendar
  • Organized
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Time Management
  • Analytical
  • Understanding of IT systems and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting
  • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.
  • Multitasking: Ability to monitor multiple systems in a fast- paced environment
  • Knowledge of parking codes and regulations
  • Able to stand and or walk for extended periods.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Problem solving/critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of Oceanfront area
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work hours more than normally scheduled hours.
  • Able to work well under pressure during peak summer hours.
