About The Position
Currently hiring for a commercial carpenter construction foreman for an on-going large scale commercial project in Sandston, VA The ideal foreman candidate has 3+ years commercial experience. OSHA 30 preferred.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and commercial construction practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have your own tools
- Your own reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise carpenters, coordinate activities, and assign roles.
- Interpret blueprints, develop schedules, and estimate materials and labor needs.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct training sessions.
- Serve as the point of contact among project management, subcontractors, and clients.
- Oversee material procurement and tool inventory to minimize waste.
- Mentor junior carpenters and conduct performance evaluations.
- Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly.
